Privacy Policy

What we collect
Email signup: an email address, and a name if you give one.
Deck requests: an email address, a name if you give one, and which deck you asked for. We use these only to review your request and email you the deck.
General and Board Member applications: name, email, and the other fields on those forms — pronouns, location, how you heard about us, the domains you’re drawn to, your answers about connection, project ideas, and (only if you choose to include it) a note about lived experience. Every field marked optional is genuinely optional, and the lived-experience note in particular is never required to apply.
Basic, privacy-respecting site analytics (page views, referrers) through Vercel Analytics — no cross-site tracking, no ad identifiers.
How it’s used
To send the updates you signed up for, to review and respond to applications personally, and to run the member area for people who’ve joined. That’s it — nothing here is used for advertising, and nothing is sold to anyone.
Who sees it
Application and signup data is visible to the small team currently running A Quaint Think Tank, through the admin area of this site. It isn’t shared outside that team, except as required by law.
A lived-experience disclosure specifically is only ever shown in a submission’s own detail view, never in a list or summary — the same design choice reflected in the General Member application form.
How long it’s kept
Signup and application data is kept while it’s relevant to running the organization — reviewing applications, staying in touch with the mailing list — and deleted on request (see Contact below).
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct, or delete what we have on you at any time, and you can unsubscribe from updates whenever you like. Because this is currently a small team, expect a personal reply rather than an automated one.
Children
This site isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
Contact
Questions about this policy, or a request to see, correct, or delete your data, can go through the Contact page.
This is a starting-point policy for a pre-launch organization, not a substitute for legal advice — it will be reviewed by counsel before A Quaint Think Tank formally launches, especially given some application fields touch sensitive topics.
